A New Journey, A New Adventure

On January 2, 2018 I submitted my resignation at work. After about 28 years of the corporate game it was time to turn my attention to something new.  Time to embark on a new adventure. People like to say, "Oh, you're retired!" What does that even mean!?!? There's a natural tendency to view life as five phases: birth, education, work, retirement, and death.  The education and work phases seem to last an eternity, while the retirement & death phases happen all to quick for some. So I won't say I'm retired. I'd say I'm aligning my lifestyle more closely with my passions, hoping that this will lead to a new phase of life, a period defined by adventure, passion, and new experiences. At some point in the not too distant future I'll have to give some more thought to the idea of aligning my passions and lifestyle in a way that generates income. In a counterintuitive move, leaving a job and an income stream behind, what did I do? I spent a lot of money on a motorcycle, a kit to build it out, and a bunch of gear. Starting in mid-January of 2018, I began setting-up the new motorcycle and putting the miles on to get ready for a new journey, a new adventure.
