Reflections - Was it a Dream?

Reflections - Was it a Dream?

I will continue to reflect on this journey as a way to propel me forward. The 50@50 journey is rocket fuel for whatever comes next. My memories of the trip are the sparks that ignite that fuel to keep me moving forward. Dreams and memories are the inspiration. There is no doubt that this journey has shaped me in new ways. Even if it feels like a dream, I am still renewed and traveling in new directions.

Week 7 and Day 50 - Coming Home. The Adventure Continues.

Week 7 and Day 50 - Coming Home. The Adventure Continues.

I was smiling in my helmet, feeling blessed for what I had experienced and excited to reach home. A flood of thoughts and realizations came forward and greeted me and then faded. Inspiration sometimes is hard to hold onto. I’m hoping as the days pass and I think on the trip, that I’ll be able to capture some of those feelings and put them on paper. Sometimes thoughts, realizations, and ideas are like trying to catch lightning in a bottle. As I rode, I didn’t try to hold too tight to those thoughts and ideas. Leaving to Come Home

Leaving to Come Home

There is the fear of being away from home and my loved ones from an extended period of time. A fear of leaving people and stuff behind. It’s funny, there is less fear about the unknown and what lies ahead, and more fear about letting go. I really want to do something about the worrying and fears. Letting go of those two things are desperately need. This is part of the work I want to do to find that “best version” of myself.

The Vision and Waking-up to the Possibilities

The Vision and Waking-up to the Possibilities

“Transcendental Travel” as an idea, as a concept, represented how I’ve been traveling for years, both as a solo traveler and with my family. Immersive travel experiences that energized me, inspired me, and fueled future dreams were something I made happen yearly. There was always a desire to take it further and to do more and I was open to the possibilities of what that meant.
